About this role 

The Analyst will work closely with others on the Performance Analytics analysts team. You will be at the center of a wide range of stakeholder analytics, reporting, and storytelling through dashboard creation and ad hoc solutions. You will contribute to developing proprietary models for provider evaluations that directly impact members getting highest quality care while maximizing savings.  

A successful candidate will be a collaborative partner; we are looking for an individual with advanced SQL skills as well as knowledge scripting in Python, knowledge on scalable reporting solutions, strong technical foundations through process and mentorship, and a commitment to quality assurance of all code and data by serving as a self-reviewer before passing to a peer reviewer.  Prior quality assurance and peer review experience is a must for this role.  You will have a meaningful role with high visibility across the company and the opportunity to shape the future of the company’s analytical KPIs as well as reporting value to clients.  

What you’ll do 

• Master our varied types of data from healthcare claims data, digital engagement data, third-party point solution member utilization data, operational data, healthcare provider quality data, market benchmarking data, demographic data, and any other interesting data we can acquire!   
• Continually learn about the company and product priorities by collaborating on cross-functional teams and with business stakeholders to embrace a culture of measurement and data-driven decision making; help stakeholders identify key questions and paths to data collection, measurement, and interpretation.  
• Collect information on the needs and desired outcome of a project including reviewing and providing feedback on requirements/specifications, clarifying deadlines, and understanding the larger goal and business need for the project.  
• Interpret business requests and deliver meaningful output. 
• Support data fluency throughout the organization through standardized measurement techniques, compelling business insights, proactive knowledge sharing of the data with others by means authentic to you and develop and maintain clear documentation of your work and align tightly with team best practices.  
• Work collaboratively with team members to review code and other analytic output while also integrating peer feedback into own work. 
• Work closely with our business intelligence and reporting deliverables and teams. Design and implement analytics solutions and definitions that offer self-service capabilities and enable consistency & scalability with cross-functional teams.  
• Present your business measurements and findings to key leaders and stakeholders. 

What we’re looking for  

• One or more degrees in economics, business, engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or other quantitative fields  
• Advanced SQL skills 
• Intermediate to advanced python skills 
• 3+ years' work experience in developing analytic solutions in a business setting  
• 2+ years' experience in complex project and stakeholder management for your own work 
• Ability to autonomously explore and execute advanced analytical/statistical techniques with the guidance and support of your manager and peers  
• Ability to know when & how to balance the tradeoff between perfect solutions and ‘good enough’ solutions  
• Ability and willingness to learn/develop new data source identification/acquisition, data collection and ETL techniques and data analysis tools as needed   
• Intrinsic interest in continuous learning and knowledge share with peers 
• Ability to support quality assurance checks of other team members’ coding, logic, and output 
• Ability to deliver business intelligence to clients by applying and demonstrating expertise in the areas of advanced analytics, data extrapolation
• Ability to autonomously design scalable reporting solutions with input from the management and stakeholders   

Nice to have 

• Experience with Snowflake and data warehouses  
• Experience with dbt data models 
• Experience with reporting on digital event data and/or clinical outcomes  
• Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau a plus 
• Business Intelligence or Product Analytics experience in healthcare or tech field  
• Experience with GitHub and code versioning  
• Comfort presenting your findings and willingness to share your time and skills to better those around you
