As an Analyst, Business Operations & Strategy at StyleSeat you will play a critical role in enabling our Executive and extended leadership teams to make educated investment decisions. This role works directly with the CEO, Head of Finance & Business Development, and the Executive team to drive Financial, Business, and Product Strategy. We are looking for an outgoing professional with high analytical capacity, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills to join the StyleSeat Finance team. About the Role:

The Finance team partners with StyleSeat leadership to continually evolve the company’s strategic agenda, address critical business challenges, and enhance operational rigor within the company.

The Analyst, Business Operations & Strategy is a critical role that will enable our Executive and extended leadership teams to make educated business and product decisions. This role works directly with the CEO, Head of Finance & Business Development, and the Executive team to drive:

  • Revenue growth: Establish a solid operating cadence and effective value driven frameworks and analysis for resource allocation and decision making
  • Business and Product level investments: Work cross-functionally across product, marketing, engineering and customer operations to to manage budgets and investments
  • Company forecasting and planning: Provide clear and insightful views on company expectations and performance needs to deliver on overall financial goals 
  • Operational excellence: Help our leaders run StyleSeat efficiently, which includes clarifying accountability, as well as identifying and modeling/monitoring critical success metrics

The candidate will be joining the StyleSeat Finance team with the expectations of being a key contributor in a fast-paced, growth environment.  This position reports to the Head of Finance & Business Development.  Must be able to communicate directly and handle direct communicators.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work in partnership with StyleSeat Executive leadership and cross-functional partners to identify scalable business opportunities, then help build models and operational plans to execute against these opportunities
  • Analyze key financial metrics, product revenue models, unit economics, margin mix and other metrics (growth rate, churn, margin profiles) to synthesize and report business insights and drive effective decision making
  • Define investment / capital allocation framework and reporting metrics to evaluate investment level and ROI across the business. Ensure risks and opportunities are captured and communicated to partners including potential trade-offs
  • Lead the quarterly and long term strategic planning, forecasting and monthly reporting. Manage results for the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements
  • Build ad hoc analysis, BOD prep and investor reporting
  • Build complex financial models and analyses, including competitive analysis, gross margin analysis, pro forma models, scenario-based models with sensitivities, etc.
  • Seek out unsolved problems and take initiative to address them
  • Partner with the Accounting Team to provide input on management reporting needs and better understand our actuals vs. plan and forecast to support the month-end close process

What You Can Bring to the Table:

  • 5+ years experience or equivalent in top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity or product finance at a technology company 
  • Incredible financial modeling skills with the ability to go from prototype to high fidelity at a rapid pace
  • Ability to create successful partnerships cross-functionally and build strong relationships with senior executives
  • Ability to think strategically in a dynamic environment 
  • Business savviness and the ability to translate complex business operating models and operational KPIs into financial performance
  • Highly analytical and able to extract business insights from analysis
  • Thrive in an environment with ambiguity, uncertainty, and a rapidly evolving business landscape
  • Humble attitude with a willingness to shift from high-level strategic thinking to stepping in and helping to drive implementation alongside functional teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues and detailed analysis
  • Strong relationship-building skills and experience working with senior executives
  • Prior work experience collaborating cross functionally in a startup environment
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to learn quickly, and make an impact
  • Must be able to think strategically on critical business issues, while simultaneously possessing the ability to act tactically to execute against them
  • Strong prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
