The Role:  

The Finance and Risk Analyst is tasked with using data to drive recommendations that improve Treasury and Risk team processes, policies and tools implementation. The primary responsibilities for this role include data and dashboard analysis, strategy development and process improvement. Ultimately, the work we do in Treasury and Risk supports and tracks Zenefits money movement, ACH transaction management, G/L product support, and execution of risk policy/process. To be successful in this role, the person must be a data-driven self-starter who understands data and predictive analytics and is passionate about driving positive change.

What you’ll do:

  • Provides client support and subject matter expertise, educating clients on TriNet Zenefits financial and risk related policies and processes as well as TriNet Zenefits Payroll product usage. 
  • Provides technical support to clients and Customer Care Associates to troubleshoot and resolve money movement and risk related issues, including, but not limited to, transaction process exceptions, ACH failures, bank account updates, and coordination of re-debits and wires. 
  • Maintains customer satisfaction ratings based on defined organizational objectives. 
  • Ensures case notes thoroughly detail the problem/resolution, are comprehensive and professional. 
  • Construct models, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on business objectives, business data, and market knowledge 
  • Develop strong working knowledge of existing processes of customer-facing teams with a view to drive efficiency and “do more with less” 
  • Liaising with Strategic Analytics team to define requirements for building and basic definition of dashboards 
  • Mine and summarize necessary data, make recommendations, and inform business decisions 
  • Assist in the development and design of internal process solutions 
  • Clarify and refine complex business questions, contributing to the execution of operational approaches, including process, systems, policy, training aspects 
  • Monitor business dashboards and communicate progress against goals to stakeholders on a regular basis 
  • Work closely with Analytics team to make analysis more efficient & effective 

What you’ll bring: 

  • 1+ years of finance or payroll experience required; 2+ years preferred. 
  • 2+ years experience in data roles. 
  • Moderate SQL experience is required. 
  • Basic statistical knowledge. 
  • Experience in Looker, R, Python a plus. 
  • Strong analytical skills, communication skills and presentation skills. 
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized. 
  • Fast learner who’s eager to dive into the complex world of finance and risk. 
  • Collaborative team player who’s willing to jump in and help colleagues when it’s “All Hands on Deck.” 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Willing to go the extra mile for clients. 
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, prioritize multiple urgent tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment with extremely tight deadlines. 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
