This will be a hybrid position based out of the Banfield Pet Hospital headquarters in Vancouver, WA. Remote candidateswho meet all requirements may be considered​.

Salary Range: $69,073 -  $94,975 (DOE)

Summary and Qualifications:

Provide meaningful data analysis from different People & Organization (P&O) system reports, developing additional insightful reports, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement on data analytics and data utilization and supporting compliance with various regulations.

Adhere to established procedures to assign, audit and maintain security access while following all change control procedures.

Ensure operational effectiveness of Banfield’s HCM systems in partnership with IT, P&O and Mars Veterinary Health (MVH) while maintaining data accuracy and elevating Associate experience.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  • Provide meaningful data analysis from different P&O system reports, developing additional insightful reports, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement on data analytics and data utilization.
  • Develop and analyze reports from multiple systems, both recurring and ad-hoc, providing accurate and relevant data for the business, P&O and the team’s functions in accordance with data policies and procedures.
  • Conduct various system audits, ensuring data quality, analyzing trends and applying data analytics to provide areas of opportunity for enhancements, efficiencies, and education.
  • Audit user access to various P&O systems/vendors (including ECM, Oracle, Workday, HireRight, E-Verify, amongst others). Ensure correct security access is set up and update/remove as needed.
  • Provide technical expertise and acts as Banfield’s liaison for key system projects (e.g., system implementations, enhancements).
  • Ensure accuracy of data for all downstream systems by supporting and executing quality review of key data items within Workday, working with stakeholders in Banfield and MVH systems team to make needed updates.
  • Represent Banfield’s P&O Systems in several compliance audits (i.e., Annual PWC, Mars internal, 401(k), Adverse Impact), providing detailed reports of associate data transactions, supply supporting documentation as needed, and partnering with auditors for clarifying questions.
  • Collaborate with MVH and other business units on business process design decisions that affect onboarding and HCM system solutions; establishing system solutions and processes for multiple employer associates.
  • Develop dashboards by compiling data points of the team’s workload periodically.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time. 
  • Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
  • Environment where pets are present.

Experience, Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Four years of experience in HR System Administration or data analytics are required.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to conduct audits and generate reporting output and trends are required.
  • Familiarity with human resources practices and procedures as well as hiring/people data related compliance is required.
  • Experience creating dashboards is preferred.
  • Workday experience is preferred.
