As an Analytics Engineer you will help the Analytics Engineering team build and maintain the data infrastructure required to deliver information, analytical outcomes, and data driven solutions. The Analytics Engineering team is responsible for modeling data to provide clean, accurate data sets that empower data driven decision making across Branch.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Data modeling, transformation, testing, and documentation
  • Creating easily consumable, reusable datasets for reporting, analysis, and experimentation
  • Design, define, and implement metrics and dimensions to enable data analysis and modeling
  • Becoming a data expert of our business domain 
  • Developing and sharing relevant data insights
  • Ad Hoc data analysis requests
  • Collaborating with teams across the organization 
  • Contribute to broader data procedures to increase performance, consistency, and accuracy

Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years working in a data-driven environment (Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics)
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills
    • Experience developing complex queries
    • Comfortable with troubleshooting and optimizing existing queries
    • Effective communicator and ability to translate business needs into queries 
    • Ability to navigate schemas and a data warehouse to find the data you need
  • Experience and/or knowledge of DBT
  • Working knowledge of Github
  • Curiosity and strong willingness to learn new subject areas, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a growth mindset
  • Nice to have
    • Fintech and/or Payments experience (or related industry)
    • Familiarly with Google Cloud Platform
