How You Will Help:

Working with our data science, engineering, and product teams, you will architect and maintain our data stack, from ingestion to transformation to stakeholder consumption which incorporate engineering best practices and optimize for future scalability and maintainability.  In addition you will provide ad-hoc data analysis, deep dives, actionable data visualizations, and statistical modeling.  Finally, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and success, to drive growth for the company, and to promote a data-driven culture. 

Responsibilities:

  • You will own our data platforms and pipeline from strategy to execution with independence, resourcefulness, and creative thinking
  • You will gather requirements, identify new data sources, participate in data architecture decisions, and write great documentation and tests for our data stack
  • You will model and analyze lots of data using SQL
  • You will empower others to have discussions about data by training stakeholders on our BI tool and curated datasets as well as enhancing data availability across the company
  • You will educate and support product, customer success, engineering, and the executive teams to make data-informed decisions by building visualizations and reports
  • You will Interpret trends and patterns in our data and translate them into product, customer success, and other stakeholder insights
  • You will advocate for a culture of process, governance, and data quality across the company
  • You will balance the need to move quickly with attention to detail, while holding your work to the highest of expectations
  • You will develop and share your opinions on best practices in analytics engineering
  • You will be an integral part of a growing data team to define standards and processes around data at NeuroFlow which add structure today and lower complexity tomorrow

About You:

  • You are passionate and perseverant about whatever you’re working on
  • You have at least a Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years as a data analyst, data engineer, or analytics engineer, preferably at a Series B or C healthcare company. Master’s Degree, or PhD is a plus!
  • You have 2+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries and python code for data modeling and analysis
  • You consider yourself a “full stack data analyst”
  • You have strong experience in data modeling, ELT development, and data warehousing. Snowflake and DBT knowledge is a plus!
  • You have strong experience with software development practices; version control, code review, CI/CD
  • You have experience creating visually appealing and simple dashboards to tell insightful stories with data. Experience with Metabase (or Looker, Mode, or similar) is a plus!
