The Data team is central to Lacework, and collaborates across multiple domains to ship value through data analysis and modeling. Our work contributes directly to delivering the core data-driven products and features that Lacework offers to its customers, as well as improving and optimizing the technologies and processes that the company relies upon.

The Role: We are looking for an Analytics Engineering Intern to join our Analytics Engineering team. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for executing on projects with tangible deliverables for the company and to our customers. You will be expected to:

  • You will be exposed and have the opportunity to be hands-on with the modern data stack - Fivetran, Portable, dbt, snowflake, BI Tools (ex - Tableau, Looker etc.), HEX, Hightouch.
  • You will employ SQL and dbt framework to modularize and centralize the analytics code to provide a single source of truth for metrics, insights and business definitions.
  • You will be deeply involved and hands-on with the dashboard development in the BI tool and exposed to various metrics and insights from several business domains (like finance, sales, marketing, customer success, etc.).
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships & collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate effective communication to present your work to data organization & leadership
  • Eager to learn and explore new tools and technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree in quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related fields).
  • Experience in data analysis and strong hand-on experience working with SQL.
  • Experience in writing SQL queries and building data models (preferably exposure to Dimensional data modeling).
  • Experience in building dashboards in BI tools. (Ex - Tableau, Looker, Sigma, ThoughtSpot etc).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Everything listed in Minimum Qualifications.
  • Experience with data analysis building dashboards.
  • Experience in working with Cloud Data Warehouse such as Snowflake and BigQuery.
  • Experience in Cloud Security or Infrastructure Security.
