About the Role

The Marketplace team is responsible for all levers that power and drive Dolly’s business with the overarching objective of matching supply and demand at the right price. Living at the intersection between Dolly’s core software products/engineering, and business functions, at the heart of the Marketplace team is Dolly’s data. As our Analytics Manager you will own the delivery of analytics to all parts of the business. This includes the development and ongoing maintenance/improvement of a suite of critical business dashboards and visualizations, delivery of reports and complex analysis to answer high priority strategic and tactical questions, as well as providing world class service managing run-the-business requests.

As a part of the core data team you’ll work alongside executive/management stakeholders and analytics engineers to define and build the business ready layer of our enterprise data model. This role reports to the Senior Director of Marketplace and Analytics.

As an Analytics Manager at Dolly, you will:

  • Own Dolly’s executive and business critical dashboarding and visualization content
  • Manage and administer Dolly’s dashboarding and visualization tooling
  • Manage Dolly’s analytics practice as a center of excellence for analysis across business functions in the organization
  • Drive process, execution, quality and responsiveness in analytical work product and process
  • Act as a expert on experimental design, conducting power analyses, advising and executing on A/B testing
  • Conduct and statistical analysis and modeling for the purposes of inference and causal attribution
  • Support Analytics Engineering in development, deployment and maintenance of data quality processes

This position requires:

  • Expertise in SQL (7years)
  • Expertise in a visualization tool/framework (eg Tableau, Looker, Sisense, Metabase) (7 years)
  • Expertise in at least one programming language used for data analysis (eg Python, R) (5 years)
  • Experience managing/coaching analysts, providing technical oversight and quality assurance on analytical output (5 years)
  • Experience working with business leaders to define and visualize KPIs, curate visualizations and provide end users with clarity on definitions and meaning in their metrics (5 years)
  • Exposure to dimensional modeling /SCD2 / panel data use cases (3 years)
  • Exposure to git / VCS (2 years) 
  • Commitment to data process development with a relentless focus on transparency, quality, efficiency and resilience

Bonus points for any of the following:

  • Experience in analytics engineering
  • Experience with production predictive models / machine learning
  • Experience with Databricks
  • Experience with ELT/ETL tools (Fivetran, Stitch, Arirbyte, etc) 
  • Experience with Spark (Scala or Python), Spark SQL
  • Experience with analytical APIs
  • Exposure to dynamic experiment allocation ie multi-armed bandits, 
  • Exposure to AWS cloud computing environments
  • Exposure to design and implementation of data quality assurance and monitoring processes (2 years)
  • Startup experience
  • Marketplace experience
