As an Applied Scientist at Chaturbate, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing our recommendation algorithm to provide personalized and engaging content recommendations to our users. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, and product managers to drive user engagement and satisfaction. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an exciting industry while pushing the boundaries of recommendation systems.

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge recommendation algorithms that deliver personalized content to Chaturbate users.
• Utilize principles of behavioral economics to understand and predict user behavior on the platform.
• Implement and refine machine learning models to continuously improve personalization algorithms.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, ML engineers, and product managers, to integrate recommendation algorithms into our platform.
• Ensure that the recommendation system can scale efficiently to handle the large volume of data and user interactions on the platform.
• Regularly review and iterate on the platform based on user feedback and analytics.

• A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Behavioral Economics, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of recommendations, news feeds, or search algorithms and systems.
• Experience with collaborative filtering techniques.
• Low-level programming skills and ability to build end-to-end algorithms.
• Strong understanding of behavioral economics and its application in digital platforms.

The Base Salary range for this position is $120,000 to $200,000 USD. This range reflects base salary only and does not include additional compensation or benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum range for a new hire across the US for the posted position. A candidate's specific pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the candidate's job-related skills, relevant education, training, experience, certifications, and abilities of the candidate, as well as other factors unique to each candidate.
