Are you a Tableau administrator? Do you enjoy understanding user needs and managing business intelligence tools? Do you want to help a fast-growing company make the most out of its BI capabilities?
The Associate BI Administrator will play a critical role at MongoDB and help take our Tableau and business intelligence capabilities to the next level. In this role you will help manage/administer an existing 1,000+ user Tableau Server implementation. In addition to Tableau, you will also help administer other business intelligence tools to create a best of breed BI platform here at MongoDB.
This role can be based out of our Austin, TX office or can be 100% remote, anywhere in the United States.
What you’ll do
- Install, upgrade and troubleshoot Tableau Server and other potential BI related tools
- Proactively research Tableau capabilities / features and provide customer-centric Tableau expertise
- Oversee platform licenses, activity usage metrics, and vendor relationships
- Work with internal stakeholders to setup new projects, data sources, groups and permissions
- Automate repetitive administrative tasks
- Assist content creators to setup Tableau Desktop/Drivers and troubleshoot related issues as needed
- Understand, document, and communicate both frontend and backend Tableau best practices
We’re looking for someone with
- At least 2+ years of Tableau Server administration experience (Windows and/or Linux)
- Experience using Tableau Desktop and connecting to a variety of different databases
- Clear communicator with ability to provide a positive experience to a broad range of stakeholders
- Ability to build effective relationships with both internal partners and external vendors
- Experience administering other BI tools (e.g., Looker, PowerBI) a plus
- Experience with AWS or other cloud-computing providers a plus
- Experience with scripting languages a plus
