The University of Pittsburgh is seeking an Associate Data Analyst to assist the School of Pharmacy's Program Evaluation and Research Unit (PERU). The incumbent will conduct data management, data analysis, and the interpretation of data analyses on programs involving opioid use disorder, health system innovations, and suicide and injury prevention. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for providing advice to PERU programs and to outside stakeholders on data specifications, data use agreements, and data representation. The position requires the incumbent to work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. The incumbent will be responsible for communication with county-level entities seeking assistance, conducting assessments of county-level systems, and gathering resources for developing overdose prevention initiatives.
Master's degree in statistics preferred. Experience with standard statistical programs, such as R, SPSS, SAS, STATA, Excel, is required. A Bachelor's degree can be substituted for the Master's with equivalent experience. Department Details This position requires a strong professional background in geospatial data management and analysis. The candidate should be able to demonstrate competence in geodatabase development, data transformation, and map design in dedicated GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro or QGIS, along with an understanding of basic cartographic principles. Experience with ArcGIS Online, Dashboards for ArcGIS, and geospatial packages in R (i.e., leaflet, tmap, rgdal, etc.) is strongly preferred.
