We are currently seeking qualified technologists to join our entry level engineering development program to train as a Snowflake Data Engineer via phData Academy and on-the-job apprenticeships.

phData Data Engineers work on the most desirable projects at Fortune 500 customers. As a phData Data Engineer you will act as a key contributor of a virtual team delivering big data projects based on Snowflake. We build next generation strategic data platforms on Snowflake helping customers to save money and unlock real business value for our customers and the community. Qualifications

  • Experience with technology fundamentals and concepts
  • Basic Java/Scala/Python/SQL development and testing skills
  • Basic knowledge of git and CICD
  • Basic knowledge of Agile
  • Engage in data modeling by authoring DDL and DML SQL
  • Design and develop data transformation code and provisioning pipelines
  • Passion for working with technology and hungry to learn new things every day
  • Write test cases and report results
  • Ability to pass the Snowflake entry level certification
  • Basic knowledge of distributed systems and databases
  • Understanding of how to work with customers - interest in a Consulting role 
  • Work with the Solutions Architect to help establish and grow our partnership relationships.
  • Presence on Slack.  Ask questions.  Contribute to answers.
