To complement Starburst’s ability to access data anywhere, our goal is to make it easy for any business intelligence tool to connect to Starburst.  Our vision is that any business analyst should be able to access any data source through the tool of their choice.  We are looking for a BI Tools Integrations Engineer to help us make that a reality.

Responsibilities:

• Design: Research and design integrations with business intelligence software
• Develop: Build custom connectors for business intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau
• Test: Implement test automation, design and write tests
• Collaborate: Collaborate with teams globally across multiple time zones and operate in an Agile development environment

Some things we will look for:

• At least 3 years of experience developing software
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.
• Experience with JDBC and ODBC integrations
• An understanding of authentication mechanisms like LDAP, Kerberos, OAuth2.0
• Experience with Java or Python
• Comfortable with SQL and scripting languages
• Experience working with Microsoft technologies

Bonus points:

• Familiarity with Trino
• Windows development experience, particularly with ODBC
