We’re Ookla, the company behind Speedtest, Downdetector, and an ever-expanding suite of connectivity tools. Our team is a group of people brought together through passion and inspired by possibility. We are looking for team members who enjoy solving complex problems, are motivated to challenge themselves, and are delighted with turning clever ideas into unique products.
Millions of tests are performed through our products and thousands of data points are collected globally every day. With all this usage comes countless ways to dissect and analyze our data, and plenty of exciting opportunities to optimize our monetization strategy. When you work for us, you are using Ookla data and insights to further our mission to improve connectivity for all.
Ookla is looking for a smart, motivated, and fast-learning individual to join our business intelligence team. Millions of people use our speedtest website and apps every day and rely on us to help keep their ISP and mobile networks honest. With all that usage comes countless ways to dissect, analyze, and visualize our data, providing endless opportunities to empower and inform everyone at Ookla.
The business intelligence team at Ookla is small, even with you. Our team members wear many hats - informing product direction, managing a/b tests, dissecting usage trends, spotting anomalies, building reports and dashboards for management, optimizing advertising monetization and much more.
As a business intelligence analyst, your role will require critical strategic thinking and execution chops - or most simply put, the ability and eagerness to take charge and learn fast. Additionally, we’re looking for someone who can spot bad data from a mile away, and with the drive to find out what caused it and to own fixing it. Lastly, this person will be expected to embed them themselves across the organization, learning the language and metrics of each team, synthesizing and strategizing a path for keeping them informed with our data, and seeing through the release and maintenance of team-specific dashboards and alerting systems.
We are committed to providing you a flexible work environment where individuality, fun, and talent are all valued equally. If you consider yourself innovative, adept at collaboration, and you care deeply about the work you do, we want to talk!
