Job Title:  Business Intelligence Analyst, Technology

Location:  Philadelphia, PA or Remote

The primary responsibilities of the position will include owning all aspects of Looker. This includes, but is not limited to, Looker administration, development and maintenance of LookML, onboarding and assisting users, development of new visualizations in Looker, and setup / onboarding of Spectacles.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and oversee all aspects of our BI reporting tools (Looker, ReDash)
  • Train and onboard users of varying data literacy levels, including assisting with a bi-weekly update / training session with our stakeholders from various teams throughout the company
  • Help to ensure data governance is maintained across our technologies and throughout the company
  • Work with our Analytics Engineering team to model LookML
  • Develop new visualizations in Looker (D3.js) as requested by stakeholders throughout the company
  • Assist with / give feedback on visualizations built by our teams of analysts, such as being a resource to assist with building table calculations or helping out with Lookers merge results features
  • Work to integrate our Looker instance with Spectacles

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • Have 2+ years hands on experience with Looker / LookML
  • Have a solid understanding of data warehouses and hands on experience with advanced, performant SQL (e.g. CTE’s, complex joins, window functions)
  • Understand BI industry best practices and stay up-to-date on emerging capabilities of BI tools
  • Combination of strong technical and communication skills to be able to work with both our technical and non-technical stakeholders

Candidates with the following will be given particular attention:

  • Experience rolling out a BI Tool to a company
  • Experience with Kimball dimensional modeling
  • Experience building new Looker visualizations using D3.js
