The BizOps-Data team helps Bluecore use data to make better decisions, solve customer problems, and grow our business faster. Our mandate is to make data Bluecore’s biggest competitive advantage. We’re looking for someone to push beyond traditional methods of delivering data and instead create actionable knowledge in innovative, scalable ways. You strive for transparency, elegance in the code you write, and process excellence. You take pride in performant, intuitive solutions and are always a trusted partner for both technical and business-side teammates. 

In this role, you’ll partner with Analytics Engineers, Data Analysts, and Data Scientists to deliver information to our business and clients. You’ll have access to amazing tools in the modern data stack such as Hex, Looker, dbt and Hightouch. You’ll design client-facing reporting, analysis and alerts that will help drive high-level decisions at major global brands. You’ll be a key support to Bluecore’s growth by showing how Bluecore’s products can drive incredible value in our clients’ eCommerce operations. 

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into technical specifications
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to deliver the right information in the right manner
• Build reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders across Looker and Hex
• Maintain a well documented, clean, and intuitive Looker instance
• Implement testing into all facets of the reporting layers to ensure data integrity
• Monitor query performance and proactively engage Analytics Engineer colleagues to improve responsiveness and compute the cost
• Enable business users to self-serve for analytics & reporting needs
• Create alerting and outbound data flows (aka “reverse ETL”) to get information where it can drive action & results

Qualifications

• 3+ years building client-facing reporting and dashboards in BI software (Looker - strongly preferred, Tableau, Google Data Studio, Hex)
• Excellent SQL skills 
• Excellent communication and prioritization skills
• Experience as Looker admin strongly preferred
• SaaS, eCommerce, and/or retail analytics experience preferred
