The Role:

We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer that will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our data infrastructure to support business decisions on the data analytics team as well as across OpenTable. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and develop solutions through data analysis in the face of ambiguity.

This role will also:

  • Capture and analyze business requirements to design data models and build data pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
  • Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and security
  • Build and manage data dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide insight into key business metrics
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows through automation
  • Evaluate new data sources and tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the team
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data processes and methodologies

Please apply if you have:

  • 2+ years of work in data analytics or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into useful insights for technical and non-technical partners
  • Proficient in SQL and one or more programming languages such as Python or R
  • Experience with Snowflake or any other relational database
  • Experience with the design and development of ETL processes
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Superset or MicroStrategy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this remote United States based role is $100,000-130,000.

In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible for additional compensation and benefits including annual cash bonus, equity grant; health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave and benefits.
