The Business Operations Analyst will synthesize data to provide strategic insight and actionable recommendations to partners within the Operations organization. They will collaborate with stakeholders and operational team members to drive projects that they work on forward. Projects will include strategic initiatives to support various departments and portfolio companies’ operations, growth, marketing, and R&D. This role is best suited for those who thrive on getting stuff done in an unstructured environment.

This role can be based in San Francisco (CA), Miami (FL), New York City (NY) or remote.

What You’ll Do:

    • Identify and synthesize both quantitative and qualitative research and trends related to the business to help teams make data-informed decisions.
    • Analyze data to inform product, marketing, and operations business decisions.
    • Assist with defining, tracking, and executing on early KPIs to guide a successful product launch.
    • Help identify target customers and conduct in-depth user interviews.
    • Work cross-functionally, collaborating with different departments such as Engineering, Design, Marketing, etc.
    • Have strong opinions and the data to back them up: when you identify areas for improvement, you speak up and build the business case for why we should focus on them.
    • Project Coordination: Participate in roadmap meetings and provide recommendations. Translate Company goals and objectives into executable action items. Plan and manage project schedules and assist with prioritization of tasks based on management directives.
    • Strategic Thinking: Understand downstream effects of decisions. Provide insights and flag potential issues. Assist with data gathering and solution evaluation. Prioritize based on business needs.
    • Collaboration and Communication: Communicate clearly with internal team members and cross-functionally, in addition to external stakeholders, vendors, and stakeholders. Provide regular updates to leadership about progress. Transparent when in need of assistance with roadblocks or if “stuck."
    • Initiative: Ask probing questions to better understand the market, industry, and business strategy of the Company. Consistently meet deadlinesLook for opportunities to assume responsibility for various tasks to help projects/initiatives move forward.

What You Are:

    • Someone who has a strong desire to work cross-functionally across different departments.
    • Customer advocate and champion.
    • Clear communicator, and thoughtful listener.

What You Have:

    • 1-3 years of professional experience in a strategy and/or operations role (business operations, management consulting, strategic finance), bonus if you’ve previously been a new market launcher, general manager, or founding team member.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong analytical skills (Excel, SQL, Tableau a plus).
