TLDR:
You will predict the future to drive value for our customers.
Problem TLDR:
Our customers rely on us to help them recapture lost revenue and drive insights into their payments data.
Problem Expanded:
You will help us uncover what we don't know and should be looking at, propose new areas for us to analyze and model. We'll also look to you to suggest new products we should consider offering customers. You'll ensure we have clean and accurate data for both reporting and modeling purposes.
Scope:
You will build models, data pipelines, and business critical reports. You'll visualize the data for consumption both internally and externally (customer-facing).
Areas you're comfortable with:
You've have 3+ years of experience working in the field. You use sql, pandas, sklearn, spark and potentially tensorflow or pytorch to build models. For user segmentation you're considering KNN/K-means or perhaps DBSCAN. You have an understanding of when to use cosine similarity vs euclidian distance. Terms like dot product, boosting, bagging, and gradients aren't greek to you. XGBoost is something you've encountered before.
