Job Description

The Enterprise Customer Information Management (ECIM) team is part of Nationwide's Chief Customer Office and manages Customer (member, intermediary partner) data to support operational capabilities, communications, analytics & insights as well as improved customer experiences. We are a team of over 30 associates with Business Lead, Data Engineering, Data Reporting and Data Analytic skills. We partner closely with our various businesses, technology team and advanced analytics office to activate on our enterprise customer data for competitive advantage.

Internship Roles/Responsibilities

The successful intern will leverage their experience with database management and data centric applications and will structure and lead complex analysis across the Nationwide enterprise, leveraging large customer and prospect databases and sources.

The intern will:

(1) Curate data and implement data quality checks

(2) Provide data analytics and insights and

(3) Develop data reporting and visualization for consumption by business partners and executives

Additionally, the intern will exercise a customer centric mindset to help identify ways to activate on our enterprise customer data for improved customer experiences.

Skills/Qualifications Desired

  • Data application and practices knowledge

  • Advanced skills with MS products (Excel, PowerPoint), reporting tools (e.g. Tableau) and modern programming/scripting languages (e.g., SQL, R, Python)

  • Strong problem solving, oral and written communication
