Capital Markets Gateway (CMG) is a FinTech start-up that is transforming the equity capital markets (ECM). The capital raising process is riddled with inefficiencies and operational risk. CMG is creating a digital marketplace that connects investors and underwriters via a neutral platform that delivers integrated ECM data and analytics. CMG’s platform streamlines workflows and delivers information and analytics in real-time providing users with long-desired speed to market and analysis vital to decision making.
 
You are:
Primary responsibilities will revolve around assisting in the gathering and dissemination of transactional data (IPOs, Follow-Ons, Block Trades, etc...). As CMG expands its product offerings and regional coverage this role is intended to become dynamic and evolve alongside the broader organization. Developing a comprehensive understanding of US Equity Capital Markets (ECM) offerings and the associated workflow specific to capturing and distributing all relevant data on the CMG Platform is essential.

What you will do:

    • Navigating and extracting content from the SEC EDGAR database and corporate press      releases 
    • Creating, updating. and managing CMG data records 
    • Running regular data quality checks
    • Developing an understanding of the CMG data structure 
    • Understanding the business needs of CMG customers 
    • Once an extensive understanding of US ECM offerings is achieved the focus is expected to transition into a broader mix of both US and Global ECM data gathering and dissemination. This is expected to include: 
    • Vetting accuracy and completeness of third-party data vendors 
    • Establishing offering source documents 
    • Supplementing, correcting, and scrubbing vendor data 
    • Establishing and documenting required workflows to accurate track international offerings 
    • Assisting with sell-side client integration via reconciling client investor entity records to CMG's master entities. 
    • Managing data quality in CMG's internal entity and security databases by resolving data conflicts and deficiencies. 
    • Supporting clients on data related issues with ECM offering execution workflows. 
    • Role will also include various duties outside of data management including: 
    • Collaborating with product development on the integration of ECM data into the product roadmap and workflow 
    • Assisting developers with product testing prior to product releases 
    • Documenting rules, regulations, market research and general information relevant to the CMG team 
    • Producing industry notes for customers and the CMG sales team 

What you need:

    • Previous Finance, Accounting, Capital Markets or Data Entry experience preferred 
    • Overall knowledge of equity markets and relationship between buy and sell-side
    • Comfort working in fast paced trading like environment 
    • Extreme attention to detail
    • Genuine interest in Equity Capital Markets and Equity Offerings

Compensation Information:
The estimated salary range for this role is US$65,000 – US$75,000.  The successful candidate’s salary will be determined by non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.  Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in our benefits program including health, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off and our equity plan.
