The Data Analyst is a highly proactive individual contributor role that can move among the following competencies with ease:

  • Problem discovery and framing through deep understanding of business domain and data
  • Extract necessary data for analysis - writing SQL queries or code to read data from various sources
  • Statistical modeling of data for patterns with clear understanding of the why
  • Visual rendering of insights with stellar ability to communicate meaning through charts and graphs
  • Exploratory data analysis using Machine Learning
  • Stakeholder interaction through clear verbal and written communication


On a typical day this person might be working on one or more of the following:

  • Work with functions across the org to frame questions and identify insights meaningful for the business
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Identify, analyze, interpret and communicate trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and flag data mismatches by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct data capture and maintenance problems
  • Create alignment and understanding on metrics and their usage


We hope you have:

  • Proven working experience of at least 3+ years as a data analyst or business data analyst
  • Strong technical experience with reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI or equivalent), databases & data stores (SQL, No-SQL)
  • Solid programming skills (Julia, R, Python or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, Matlab, SAS or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of machine learning algorithms. Prior experience with writing machine learning code is a plus
  • At a minimum, BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or BE in Computer Science with additional diploma or degree in Statistics
