NerdWallet is seeking a Business-minded, Analytical individual to support our Business Performance Analytics team. This exciting opportunity will focus on delivering key reporting, analysis and insights that will reach NerdWallet’s CEO, CFO and leadership team. You will collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams in order to communicate a clear and summarized outlook of NerdWallet’s performance. Successful candidates will blend strategic thinking with technical proficiency to identify trends & key drivers that lead to performance improvements and support overall business health.

Where you can make an impact:

• Be part of a  highly-visible team to tackle strategic requests from Executive leadership
• Lead multi-functional analytic efforts with Finance, Marketing, Business and Product teams to drive strategic analyses and provide recommendations for ad-hoc requests
• Deliver business insights and explain day-to-day performance trends with a deep understanding of business drivers and macro trends
• Drive the weekly & monthly cadences and reporting packages which includes the monthly and weekly Business/Ops Review
• Conduct hands-on, deep dive analyses using a variety of tools – SQL/Looker, slides, spreadsheets, etc.
• Develop and maintain deep dive tools that will quickly identify and predict performance patterns
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sister analytics teams to leverage shared platforms, best practices, insights and innovations

Your experience:

• 3+ years of experience in a similar or relevant role – strategic finance, management consulting, or product management
• 1+ years of hands on experience developing and managing weekly/monthly/quarterly Business Performance reporting 
• Demonstrated ability to communicate sophisticated analysis in a precise and meaningful manner with both technical, and non-technical customers
• Strong SQL skills required; Looker experience desirable
• Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Academic background in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, engineering, statistics, economics, business)
