We are seeking a Data Analyst (Marketing) to contribute to Toast's data-informed growth strategy. In this role, you will support critical analytics projects aimed at driving incremental Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) through upsell opportunities. Your insights will help to inform our marketing strategies and contribute to key business decisions. About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

  • Support Marketing leadership in transforming analytical insights into clear narratives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and contribute to upsell success metricsAssist in maintaining comprehensive dashboards to track upsell performance and marketing campaign effectiveness
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to identify key drivers of customer upsell behavior
  • Utilize analytical/statistical techniques to support the prediction of upsell propensity and optimization of targeting
  • Assist in the design and evaluation of experiments aimed at testing hypotheses and quantifying business impact
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in marketing analytics

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Prior experience working in marketing and/or product analytics at a technology company (or similar environment)
  • Demonstrated ability to transform data into clear insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity using SQL and Python/R for data modeling and statistical analysis
  • Understanding of funnel optimization, customer segmentation, cohort analyses, and related analytical techniques
  • Foundational understanding of marketing attribution concepts and their role in evaluating marketing performance
