The Revenue Analytics Specialist will report to the Revenue Analytics Manager and is responsible for assisting with high priority projects and working with internal team members to create efficiencies by utilizing SQL. This is a challenging role that requires problem solving, the ability to navigate complexities and effective cross-collaboration skills.

 

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

  • Focus on high priority strategic projects with company-wide impact; projects will range from recurring analysis to deep dive ad hoc analysis of key drivers of financial metrics in our Finance Organization
  • Develop a deep understanding of our SQL table infrastructure and serve as a liaison between the data infrastructure and source systems
  • Partner with the revenue accounting team to drive process and system improvements to enable the organization to scale operations effectively and efficiently
  • Collaborate closely with members of the accounting, finance, and data engineering team, serving as a thought partner to leaders throughout the organization
  • Work effectively, efficiently, and precisely with little guidance within tight deadlines

 

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Financial Analytics roles 
  • 3+ years of SQL experience, and comfort writing and explaining SQL to a non-technical audience
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, including advanced spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to efficiently analyze large volumes of data, draw insights, and present clear and concise recommendations

 

Special Sauce* (Nonessential Skills/Nice to Haves)

  • Bachelor’s degree in an advanced quantitative field is a plus
  • Skill and expertise to analyze large pieces of SQL text for bugs or efficiencies
  • Familiarity with high level accounting principles
  • Experience with Zuora RevPro Data Query highly desired
  • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Snowflake
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and the ability to pivot several times within the day is fundamental
  • Ability to communicate findings to a range of audiences and succinctly explain how you arrived at your conclusion
