About the Role:  

We are seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to join our Geospatial Data Support team in Berlin. Our team has built a geospatial data infrastructure from end to end to deliver data products in the form of apps, spreadsheets, dashboards and maps to several data consumers such as space missions engineers and customer success managers to understand our Satellite collection performance and order fulfillment. This role will support data requests from our Product team. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Managers in order to support any analysis and metrics requests to improve the development of our main products. 

Impact You’ll Own:

  • Answer challenging questions with data and metrics from our products
  • Build and maintain data models, dashboards and maps
  • Perform complicated analysis with data intersecting technology constraints,, space and satellite ephemeral information and geographical singularities
  • Improve communications between product and operations

What You Bring:

  • Possess advanced SQL knowledge
  • Superior analytics and data modeling skills, demonstrated via prior projects.
  • 3+ years of Python experience
  • Working in cross-functional teams that put customer requirements first
  • Adaptability and openness to changes and challenges
  • A positive, can-do attitude to work

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Experience working with geospatial SQL functions in PostGIS
  • Experience in Geopandas or any Python geospatial analysis framework
  • Experience working with spatial aggregations and visualization such as H3
  • Google Cloud Platform knowledge, especially BigQuery
  • 1+ years of experience with dbt
