A Data & Activation Consultant serves as a key project leader in helping clients get value out of their investments in data, methods, and marketing technologies. This role involves working directly with clients to gain understanding of the client’s business objectives, challenges, and resources to recommend creative solutions that deliver value using marketing technology, digital analytics, and campaign tactics. Consultants possess strong communication, project management, and thought leadership skills, and express a high degree of comfort with influencing and communicating a point of view to client leadership. This role will be highly cross-functional and interface with Data & Analytics crafts, Marketing crafts, Experience Design, and Technology teams. 

Role and Responsibilities

    • Conduct personalization at scale programming, including personalization labs, co-innovation studio sessions, roadmapping deliverables, and value creation cycles. 
    • Provide deep domain expertise in the client’s business and with a broad knowledge of campaign tactics, digital analytics and marketing.
    • Assess client maturity with Growth Marketing Maturity Model and Measurement Maturity Model, understanding stakeholder needs, facilitating prioritization, and coordinating a strategic activation and agile roadmap of program activities. 
    • Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather business requirements, translate business requirements into technology use cases, and prioritize use cases into a strategic roadmap focused on deriving value from data.
    • Provide strategic guidance to clients by sharing quantifiable, impactful recommendations.
    • Set the test & learn agenda for analysis and personalization, providing requirements for foundational work in measurement, reporting, and analysis.  
    • Uncover and elevate opportunities for clients to engage in data-driven solutioning. 
    • Work alongside delivery pods (channel owners, competencies, functional teams) to bring the roadmap to life. 
    • Create digital messaging business requirements and measurement frameworks to translate the roadmap into tactics.
    • Display pragmatism and take ownership of client, personal and team results. 
    • Contribute to building client-ready tools, processes, best practices, and capabilities.
    • Mentor and develop more junior consultants and Strategy & Insights team members.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with digital analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
    • Familiarity with CRO solutions (Adobe Target, Interaction Studio)
    • Familiarity with CRM & Orchestration Solutions (Salesforce, AJO, Braze) and other marketing technologies
    • Familiarity with media / adTech capabilities
    • Experience and strategic leadership in marketing, analytics, and personalization
    • 5+ years experience in digital leadership
    • Industry knowledge of analytics and personalization industry
    • Knowledge and familiarity with business intelligence tools
    • Experience leading or managing mentees
    • Skills and experience training and presenting on activation, analytics, and personalization topics.
    • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong cross-functional team management skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities at once.
