The Role:

We're seeking a talented individual to join our team as an hands-on Data Architect. This unique role combines strategic data architecture design with hands-on data engineering responsibilities. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing our organization's data architecture, ensuring the highest quality and availability of data, for customer-facing data applications, internal data analytics, and other critical business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Quickly grasp our product offerings and data landscape.
• Define and set up an enterprise-wide data management framework, including standards, models, architectures, and governance procedures.
• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines connecting diverse sources, including event streams, internal databases, and SaaS applications, and identifying and resolving complex data issues as they arise.
• Streamline repetitive tasks by establishing policies, conventions, and optimizing data flow for speed, scalability, reliability, and quality.
• Evaluate our capacity to analyze large datasets and recommend ways to leverage data to enable new or existing product and internal analytics.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, data analysts, and data scientists to create datasets for reporting and advanced analytics.
• In collaboration with leadership, create a long-term data strategy aligned with business goals.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Demonstrated expertise in data warehouse and transformation solutions, i.e. Snowflake, ETLeap
• Experience implementing data pipelines
• Experience with event-streaming platforms, i.e. Kafka
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, i.e. Looker
• Familiarity with customer data platforms, i.e. Segment
• Strong SQL skills
• Proficient in Python programming
• Experience with with GCP or AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Familiarity with ETL and ELT processes
• Continuous learning and innovation mindset

Additional Skills:

• Experience with predictive modeling and machine learning.
• Experience with implementing MLOps practices, enabling the design, development, and operation of ML models.

We are a hybrid workplace that recognizes the importance of flexibility while valuing in-person collaboration and relationship building. As a result, Saucers located near an office location must be able and willing to come into the office. Those hired remotely must be able and willing to travel to an office as required by the specific role.
