About the role...
We are looking for a data engineer to join our growing data team to design and build the next generation of data warehouse while guaranteeing data integrity.

- Represents the team in the broader engineering and tech functions
- A key champion of our culture
- Technical Design and build the next generation of data warehouse, leverage the benefits of cloud platforms, and optimise the data model to support a wide range of downstream analytical requirements
- Developer new and optimise existing data pipelines
- Apply creative engineering techniques to ingest data from multiple data sources
- Improving data integrity and supporting stakeholder queries
- Work with the security team to implement data governance
- Navigates and overcomes organisational processes and structures (i.e bureaucracy)
- Communicates and aligns with stakeholders
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise...
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Proactively drive the development for the Data Warehouse
- Kafka, Snowflake and Airflow experience
- High level of experience in SQL and Python
- Experience in cloud-based transformation tools (Matillion, DBT, DataBricks)
- Experience working with Agile processes and principles
- Familiarity with version control systems (i.e. GitHub, GitLab, Gitbucket)
- Ability to communicate equally effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven delivery of well-tested, scalable, fault-tolerant and performant solutions
- A pragmatic approach to solutions and delivery of technical projects
- Build cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Business Stakeholders and Software Engineers to understand data needs and deliver on those needs
- Having worked in a collaborative environment where you are comfortable reviewing code/flows of your peers
