In This Role You Will Be:

  • Collaborating closely with data scientists, data analysts, and software engineers to build and maintain the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources
  • Designing, developing, and owning data pipelines that power analytics for business, research, and product teams
  • Developing elegant data models to deliver business intelligence to stakeholders across the company under a self-service analytics model
  • Implementing and evangelizing data engineering best practices, including testing, incremental modeling, documentation, and data snapshots
  • Working in a cross-functional, distributed team environment where your self-starting personality will thrive

To Thrive In This Role You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent field
  • 2 - 5 years experience in a data-focused engineering role
  • Strong working knowledge of relational databases and cloud-based analytical data warehouses
  • Advanced expertise in SQL query design and optimization
  • Experience with DBT, including testing, documentation, macros, and operations
  • Experience developing and maintaining custom data integrations
  • Experience with cloud services and products
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, GO, or C++
  • Obsessive attention to detail to catch bugs, resolve edge cases, and perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GCP
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced remote environment
  • Genuine passion for health and wellness
