VetsEZ is seeking a Data Engineer to manage the routine operations and maintenance of databases and ensuring they're reliable and efficient in performance.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Chief Health Informatics Office to understand Data governance requirements and needs.
- Analyze data between systems and identify any possible data duplication or data that is changed and could affect downstream systems.
- Define system and technical requirements, including both functional and non-functional, to support database management system development within the SAFe Agile methodology.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical designs for database solutions.
- Develop and maintain database solutions for managing structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and maintain database solutions for data ingestion (batch and streaming).
- Develop and maintain database scripts supporting ETL processes and functions.
- Develop automated tests that can be incorporated into CI/CD pipeline.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare IT, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or technical related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Support CI/CD initiatives and utilize static code analyzers to ensure high quality source code
- Author clear documentation for database solutions, including data dictionaries, data catalogs, and design artifacts
- Integrate database solutions with the software applications and/or platforms
- Monitor and tune database solutions for optimal performance
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in the VA or other health-related organization desired.
- Ability to obtain a Government clearance.
- Collibra experience preferred.
- Health IT experience, specifically X12 preferred.
