As a Data Engineer on the Community team, you will work closely with Striim's product, growth, and marketing teams to support data engineering efforts both internally (internal analytics) and externally with Striim's community of enterprise customers. You will leverage a mix of Striim and popular data platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake, Kafka, Redshift, and others.
You will also help build Striim's content hub (Striim Recipes) to make it the best place to get actionable guides on data engineering and for users to build data pipelines that connect disparate systems and analyze data in real-time with SQL.
What You'll Do:
- Build real-world data driven applications and solutions using Striim, Kafka, dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, PostgreSQL
- Evangelize what you are building on social channels and data engineering communities on Reddit/Slack.
- Participate in virtual and hybrid conferences
- Work with marketing to build our meetup program with local communities and webinars on data engineering
- Build the content strategy on data engineering thought leadership topics
- Work with Product to evangelize new, innovative features on Striim
- Promote your work where our audience goes to learn and find solutions to their toughest data problems
- Experience with Big Data and Stream Processing systems
- 3+ years of experience giving talks and developing demos, webinars, videos, and other technical content.
- Great communication skills: you’ll be an ambassador for Striim and show your ability to push the limits of data engineering
- A demonstrated ability to get stuff done in a fast-paced startup.
- This role will require occasional travel and in-person meetings. Striim, Inc. currently requires that all employees who are required to travel for work, as well as employees and visitors to its office, are fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
