This position is available to be fully remote or hybrid and offers a salary of $100,000 to $150,000 annually, stock options, various time off opportunities, and healthcare to name a few benefits.

The mission for the senior level Data Engineer on the Artificial Intelligence Team is to design, develop, and maintain our data infrastructure to support our innovative sleep analytics platform. This team member will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Machine Learning Engineers, Product Engineers, and Healthcare Professionals to ensure a seamless flow of data collection, processing, and retrieval, enabling the continuous enhancement of our technology and research projects. The person in this position has the opportunity to grow personally and professionally to help build a world-class AI team.

EnsoData

EnsoData strives to make healthcare more accurate, efficient, and affordable through waveform artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Using AI and machine learning, our software analyzes billions of data points collected from sensors placed throughout the human body. Our first solution, EnsoSleep, reduces the time clinicians spend analyzing, scoring and managing sleep studies. This results in a simplified and accelerated patient testing, diagnosis, and treatment workflow. Our AI-powered technology has the capability of informing health decisions beyond sleep medicine, from monitoring patient health in the ICU or through wearables, to detecting and capturing seizure data, to providing earlier detection of heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and Alzheimer’s.

  • 5+ years experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or related role with a strong focus on data analytics and data pipeline development, particularly in healthcare applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline required; Master’s or PhD preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to communicate in a remote environment that strives to be diverse and inclusive.
  • Proficiency in Python, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Hands-on experience with data integration, DAG, and ETL tools like Kubernetes, Apache Spark (or Databricks), Apache Beam, Apache Airflow or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP and its data services (e.g. BigQuery).
  • Solid understanding of database systems (e.g. MongoDB), data modeling, and SQL to create queries to extract data and build performant datasets
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward identifying and addressing data-related challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

If you think you’re a great fit, but don't necessarily check every box on the job description, please still get in touch.
