The Data & Analytics organization is looking for a Data Governance Lead to help us take our data to the next level. You can do so by being a central resource for data governance thought leadership, improving misalignment and inconsistencies of our product metric definitions, and developing best processes to make our data better across Auth0. Working as part of the growing data team, the ideal candidate will have previous experience in working in a data governance position within a fast paced and complex business setting. They will also possess excellent relationship building and strong communication skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Create a data governance framework to manage compliance to policies, playbooks, and standards to cover the entire data lifecycle. This includes, but not limited to, creating metadata repositories, data dictionaries, data lineage and process maps.
  • Fostering data stewardship across the Auth0 Product Unit.
  • Trusted Advisor across multiple levels of the organization with strong executive presence.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers & Business SMEs to define data integration needs, standards, and roadmaps.
  • Collaborating and influencing across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Feel comfortable working in a distributed team environment (think remote, lots of Zoom + Slack), interacting asynchronously with multiple groups on a daily basis.

What You’ll Need

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in analyzing and implementing Data Management solutions.
  • 7+ years of experience in business, data or systems analysis.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise data governance initiatives.
  • Expertise in project management, stakeholder management, and change management.
  • Strong business understanding of product/engineering metrics and KPIs.
  • Proven facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of OLTP applications (e.g. ERP, CRM) and data management practices.
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-hosted databases.

Bonus Points For

  • Hands-on experience using Alation.
  • Familiarity with the Auth0 Product/Platform.
  • Familiarity with BI platforms such as Tableau/Looker.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Technical writing/editing experience.

((Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $117,000 year + bonus, commission, or variable comp (depending on role) + equity + benefits *Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085(8-5-20))
