We recently raised $63M in Series C funding to bring forward the next generation of tooling for a more accessible web. This round was led by the EQT Ventures with participation from existing investors Andreessen Horowitz & Kleiner Perkins. This brings Netlify’s funding raised in total to $107M to date. Other past investors include Bloomberg Beta, Designer Fund, and Tank Hill Ventures, as well as the founders of Figma, GitHub, Slack and Yelp.

About the role:
At Netlify, our data team exists to empower the entire organization to make the best decisions possible by providing accurate, timely, and useful insights. We build our data infrastructure as a product instead of just a service, with the ability to make a significant impact.
We’ve been remote-first since our inception and are a globally distributed team, spanning across North America and Europe. We’re biased towards asynchronous planning and communication, meaning less meetings and more execution. Our data team is about a year old, and our partners throughout the company will be looking to you to help translate how they can leverage data to level up their decision making. With our team, you'll be turning rows and columns in a data warehouse into powerful business insights that can be used to make impactful decisions. Your team will be providing crucial analyses that are accurate, reliable, reproducible, and is easily accessible to help impact the rest of the business.
Some of the things you'll do:
- Manage a high performing team of data engineers, analytics engieners, and data analysts.You will build a team responsible for all aspects of data.
- Focus on impact. The data team exists to empower the entire organization to make the best decisions possible by providing accurate, timely, and useful insights. Data is only valuable when it improves your decisions.
- Help multiple departments identify process and product opportunities with a focus on improving data at the source.
- Create and disseminate contextualized insights, seek opportunities for automation, and enable the organization to easily, accurately, reliably, and speedily do great work.
We're looking for someone who has experience with:
- The modern data stack. Your goal is to make the data organization more efficient and effective with modern tooling and processes as we scale our data function and the company.
- Data warehouse design. You can help discuss the merits and tradeoffs of ways of architecting the data warehouse.
- Figuring it out. You should be comfortable working with ambiguity. You can be given a problem to solve and deduce how to solve it independently, get other aligned, and bias to action.
- Strategic thinking. As we grow, you'll increasingly be tapped for helping guide key parts of our data strategy.
- dbt experience is a plus!
