The Data Operations Analyst role will be responsible to:

  • Identify, research and facilitate the resolution of data discrepancies within Wealth’s suite of applications
  • Function as escalation point for Wealth while collaborating with Technology teams to resolve technical issues
  • Soundly execute the steps associated with existing processes and/or controls to ensure that data quality is commensurate with established guidelines
  • Review data consumed from various feeds to reconcile, research, and resolve daily data quality exceptions
  • Support management and/or team members in the creation of new processes and/or controls to ensure that data quality is consistent with established guidelines
  • Assist with development of new methods and streamline existing processes for collecting, storing, validation and visualizing data
  • Conduct and lead data mapping exercises between multiple systems; review current mappings, dictionaries, and process flows for accuracy and completeness
  • Assess/monitor and, if needed, troubleshoot data transfers – in particular: system integrations, web services, APIs, FTPs, ETLs and/or other feed transmissions
  • Ensure established processes are working as expected such that data is properly procured, curated, and delivered to downstream systems by identifying and resolving data exceptions.
  • Professionally and consistently communicate with internal clients, actively participate in meetings and provide concise updates and recommendations to management
  • Partner with internal business colleagues to establish common data policies, and metrics to manage data and analytics consistently
  • Collaborate extremely effectively with team members
  • Contribute towards maintaining a strong risk management environment
  • Support management with projects as assigned
  • Adaptable, flexible and thrive in a changing, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks at a given time.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related experience in a data/ technology environment
  • Experience with executing an effective data governance model
  • Analytical mindset with ability to proactively identify trends and provide recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within groups, as needed
  • Attention to detail, including thoroughly completing assigned deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communications to effectively communicate insights at both executive and individual contributor levels.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Direct experience with one or more data loading and/or data quality tools
  • Demonstrated ability to mine and analyze large amounts of structured or unstructured data
  • Desire and commitment to regularly learn by staying up to date on current data tools and industry trends and being willing to continuously improve skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Finance Services, particularly the Securities/ Investments industry
  • High proficiency with MS Office applications, Visio and/or Salesforce.com
  • SQL, Python, machine learning or statistical programming skills
  • Familiarity with functions related to data architecture, data stewardship and database administration
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex problems

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Related field (data science, data analytics, computer science, business administration) a plus
