As an integral part of Intel's new IDM 2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, stand-alone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European based capacity to serve customers globally. IFS will be differentiated from other foundries with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe, and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from, including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with Arm and RISC-V ecosystem IPs. IFS will also provide access to silicon design services to help our customers seamlessly turn silicon into solutions, using industry standard design packages. This business unit is completely dedicated to the success of its customers with full P and L responsibilities. This model will ensure that our foundry customers products receive our utmost focus in terms of service, technology enablement, and capacity commitments. IFS is already engaged with customers today starting with our existing foundry offerings. We are expanding at a torrid pace to include our most advanced technologies, which are ideal for high-performance applications.
About IFS Packaging and Test Business Group (PBG) : Packaging is a critical revenue enabler for IFS and a key part of Intel's forward-looking strategy. PBG has been created in order to develop, grow, and execute a robust packaging roadmap.
AI Software and Tools team is tasked with developing AI models and analytics to make PBG and IFS strategic initiatives. We are looking for Data Science intern to join our team, who is passionate and enthusiastic about solving real world issues by AI solution.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Exploring data source, developing data pipeline, data wrangling, exploratory data analysis with proper visualization, developing similarity and predictive models, etc.

  • Building end to end machine learning pipeline and productizing in robust MLOps

  • Developing Proof of Concept (PoC) AI application on emerging business area under IFS, such as quote/costing/pricing business process and market/competitive intelligence analysis

  • Potentially supporting NLP/LLMs based market intelligence projects.


Qualifications


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for screening candidates. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be currently pursuing master’s degree in computer science, data science/AI, statistics, electronics, or engineering ORPh.D. student focusing on AI/Machine Learning, including a thesis in this field.
3+ months of experience or knowledge in programming in Python and/or R

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience of Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Prior knowledge and/or experience of containerization
Prior knowledge and/or experience of full stack web application, including front-end (Java Script), back-end, and data base management (SQL/No-SQL)
Prior knowledge and/or experience of data engineering

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $63,000.00-$166,000.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model


This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
