The Opportunity: 
As a Data Scientist you’ll bring 3+ years of modeling experience to apply to Gloo’s Product line. You’ll jump to prototype ideas and showcase the value of predictive analytics. You’ll be building and deploying machine learning models as data products. In other words, you will make a big impact at Gloo!

The Team: 
As part of a team of specialists, the data science team is responsible for understanding use cases, coming up with solutions, testing ideas, and deploying models to a production environment.  The culture of our team is extremely important to us. We want you to be engaged in your projects, voice your ideas, have full ownership from end to end, and be proud of what you accomplish.    

What You'll Be Doing:

    • Recommending and testing proposed solutions
    • Performing the analysis and/or modeling for proposed solutions
    • Working with engineering and product to design solutions
    • Building text classification and other NLP models
    • Contribute to MLOps Infrastructure
    • Measuring effectiveness of proposed solutions
    • Explaining impact and value of modeling to stakeholders

What We're Looking For:

    • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field – commensurate experience may substitute for degree requirements
    • 3+ years of data science experience
    • A love for talking about the applications of data!  You can easily explain an ROC curve, a lift chart, and recommend testing strategies for model improvements
    • Proficiency with a query language such as SQL
    • Proficiency with Python
    • Proficiency with text classification and NLP modeling techniques
    • Experience with machine learning operations and deploying models
    • Ability to design and code reports that showcase modeling’s value and insights
    • Instinctive thought process for determining if modeling outputs are correct
    • Keen interest in assessing model accuracy and projected performance
    • Strong critical thinking skills for effective troubleshooting
    • Ability to prioritize work based on stakeholder input; can effectively manage a backlog
    • A drive to help others – it feeds your soul
    • Experience with AWS and SageMaker services (Preferred but not Required)

    • Compensation:  $100,000-$140,000
