What will the role involve?

• Being one of the earliest hires into our new Data team - working closely with our Head of Data and a Data Engineer. You'll be harnessing data to enhance Primer's offering, helping shape the product's future.
• Collaborating with peers from across the various teams to drive the product's growth forward.
• Designing and build experiments on payments data, and interpret the results
• Working with the team in building machine learning infrastructure and roll data science outputs into production
• Develop, document and implement processes to put in place as the team scales
• Working with merchants and partners to understand the value the Data team can bring them

• Previous experience working as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer, ideally in a start-up environment where you've had to 'wear many hats' and build from scratch
• Confidence in communicating and collaborating with the teams - Engineering, Product, Sales, and more
• Previous experience within fintech and payments is interesting but not necessary - we're more interested in finding a curious, driven person, who never stops learning and picking up new things
• A product-focused mindset with an appreciation for the needs of our users - we're here to make the product valuable to ecommerce businesses around the world
• Previous experience working with Python
