About Us:

As a Data Scientist II at Socure, you will play a pivotal role in our data science team, focusing on data collection, transformation, model development, tracking, and continuous improvement. Your expertise will drive data-driven decision-making, ensuring the success of our projects and products. If you're passionate about harnessing data to solve complex challenges, we want you to join our team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collect and curate data from various sources to ensure high data quality.

  • Perform data cleaning and transformation to prepare datasets for analysis and modeling.

  • Label datasets for supervised learning tasks.

  • Maintain model cards and a model registry for tracking model information.

  • Implement and maintain performance tracking procedures during development.

  • Monitor model performance in production environments.

  • Document data processing, modeling, and analysis methodologies.

  • Maintain thorough documentation of data sources, transformations, and models.

  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards to provide insights to stakeholders.

  • Develop an alert system for real-time monitoring of critical data metrics.

  • Evaluate potential data vendors and liaise with data acquisition teams.

  • Collaborate with external vendors to access and integrate relevant data sources.

  • Perform descriptive statistics to understand data distributions and characteristics.

  • Conduct hypothesis testing to drive data-driven decisions.

  • Provide support for individual Proof of Concept (POC) projects, offering data insights and statistical analysis.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics) or equivalent experience; a Master's or Ph.D. is a plus.

  • Up to 2 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Proficiency in data manipulation using tools like Python and SQL.

  • Experience with machine learning and deep learning techniques.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Bonus points:

  • Experience with Spark and Databricks, facilitating efficient data analysis and model training at scale.

  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), harnessing its cloud capabilities for data processing and deployment.

  • Passion for Natural Language Processing (NLP) and a knack for text analysis and language understanding.

  • Enthusiasm for the power and potential of Large Language Models (LLMs) in various applications.

  • Skill in web scraping techniques to gather data from diverse online sources.

  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform, facilitating smooth deployment and scaling.

  • Comfortable working with Jira for project management and collaboration.

  • Proficiency in Elasticsearch for efficient full-text search and data indexing.

  • Experience with Airflow or a similar scheduled workflow tool. 

  • Interest or background in compliance and regulatory technology, aiding in the development of cutting-edge solutions in these areas.

Salary Disclosure:

Base Salary range: $108,000 - $120,000

This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job related factors. Socure's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, equity,  comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
