Socure is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to join our R&D Innovation team. As one of the inaugural members of a newly formed initiative, you will be responsible for playing a critical role in conceptualizing, building and implementing a large-scale identity graph. By leveraging matching techniques, machine learning, and graph theory, you will help build solutions that turn our repository of data into an efficient knowledge engine.
You will report to our Senior Director of Data Science, Ali Haddad. This role can be based remotely in North America.
What You’ll Do:
Focus on problems related to entity resolution, which is the process of linking similar records together in a very large dataset
Assist ongoing data canonicalization and aggregation tasks
Wield and innovate graph-based algorithms that will further the entity resolution projects
Apply probabilistic models, particularly those related to data record similarity
Assist ongoing natural language processing (NLP) initiatives to derive more value from large datasets and establish standard comparison metrics
Process and evaluate enormous structured and unstructured data sets
Partner closely with product and engineering team members in a cross-functional organizational structure
What You’ll Bring:
Masters (with professional experience) or PhD in statistics, physics, computer science, mathematics or other relevant field
Strong knowledge of ML and statistical research covering one or more of the following domains: entity resolution, pattern discovery, large-scale graph inferences, relational learning, etc.
Experience with Python or Scala and Spark
Experience with scalable dataset assembly/data wrangling (e.g., Hive)
Deep expertise in innovative feature engineering
