The Data Intelligence and Analytics (“DIA”) team is responsible for providing data-driven insights to inform strategic, financial, and operational decision-making across the company. We’re seeking a Director, Business Intelligence to partner with our Customer Success (Post-live support, Customer Experience and Account Management)  team to drive initiatives including business planning and reporting, corporate strategy, data infrastructure and engineering and strategic projects. This is a high-impact role that will offer substantial senior leadership exposure and the opportunity to drive long-term shareholder value in a hyper-growth environment at scale.

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

  • Provide operational and strategic thought leadership supported by rigorous analysis, with a focus on business planning, reporting and corporate strategy
  • Own all aspects of core reporting and analytics processes including weekly pacing, monthly reporting and long-term forecasting of key operational metrics in partnership with our Strategic Finance team
  • Partner with CS leadership to provide analytical support for key business decisions including resource prioritization, monitoring leading indicators and helping business leaders meet their operational goals
  • Deliver analysis and reporting of the business' key metric results including variances to plan, ensuring key issues, risks, and business drivers are understood and highlighted
  • Leverage your analytical background to support and influence key strategic decisions (e.g., you develop a conclusion using analysis of key leading indicators and use data to provide business and financial insights to influence initiative prioritization and resource allocation)
  • Partner with Strategic Finance team to ensure all financial deliverables are met and insights on performance are delivered on time for management reporting deadlines
  • Partner with Data Engineering team to ensure that all data pipeline, maintenance and infrastructure work aligns with business strategy and objectives
  • Grow and develop a team of high performing analytics professionals
  • Drive continual process improvement within our analytical tools to leverage best practices, standardization, and automation to continuously improve availability, accuracy, and clarity of reported metrics

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of data analytics, data science, strategic finance, operational finance, or operational analytics experience at a high-growth tech company
  • Advanced SQL, Python or R, and Excel data analytics skills. Ability to build robust operational and machine learning models used by teams throughout the company to size opportunities and understand key metric pacing and predictive insights
  • Advanced data visualization skills using tools such as Looker and Hex with a focus on executive level communication
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to distill complex analyses into structured outputs and present to all levels of management
  • Track record of leading, growing, and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on hands-on development and coaching
  • Experience working with Financial teams and a understanding of key financial metrics
  • A proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners; you are seen as a trusted and objective advisor
  • Ability to think creatively and critically, and thrive in a dynamic and often ambiguous work environment
