Your mission is to improve marketing outcomes through the use of data. As a leader in the Marketing Operations and Analytics organization, you will ensure that we have the right data to make data-driven decisions, accelerating and enabling data usage maturity across marketing.  You have a clear point of view on what “great” analytics looks like, building for the future and evolving our measurement practices in a way that is flexible and allows us to adapt to changes in marketing and business priorities. 

This is a highly visible role with a wide organizational impact that will require expertise in executive stakeholder management, knowledge of industry best practices, presentation, data visualization design, communications (internal and external), and organizational alignment to ensure that data insights resonate with a wide variety of business teams.

You’ll be responsible for measuring and evaluating marketing performance, supporting and enabling crucial conversations across the marketing business. You'll be partnering with senior leaders to deliver insights and analyses that shape priorities. You are a player-coach who can both create as well as roll up your sleeves and lead, manage and develop a high-performing global team. You have proven experience in leading analytics teams including in-depth knowledge of industry best practices. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop the strategy and execution for marketing data analytics and business intelligence that aligns against the overall marketing GTM.

  • Build and analyze multitouch attribution. Utilize this data to understand how different awareness and consideration tactics are driving engagement and conversion. Dissect behaviors and identify trends. Understand where impact/return is greatest and weakest, and provide recommendations to the marketing team.

  • Drive periodic enablement of marketing reports and models to demand, digital, field, and growth marketing stakeholders to ensure teams understand and are using the reports; collect feedback to continue to improve reports.

  • Support ongoing marketing taxonomy and data architecture projects as the business evolves.

  • Own and lead the marketing performance insights and narrative for QBR and other exec-level reporting to support business leaders with decision making and prioritization of initiatives.

  • Lead the analysis, recommendation and setting of OKRs for relevant marketing functions.

  • Contribute to business planning with models to assess and forecast the impact of marketing and ROI.

  • Lead, manage, and develop a global team of analysts responsible for dashboard development, translating data into actionable insights, and providing forecasts and quarterly targets.

  • Work closely with sales operations and FP&A to reconcile data.

  • Partner with Data Engineering to facilitate data infrastructure improvements.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management.

  • Highly analytical mindset with the ability to look at vast amounts of data and synthesize that information into intelligence that can be acted upon by the business, eventually optimizing the way forward.

  • Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to prioritize the team’s deliverables against the needs of the organization.

  • Must have proven expertise managing analytical models such as cohorts, attribution models, segmentation, cost per acquisition, customer LTV models, etc.

  • Strong data manipulation and database modeling skills. Must have strong SQL skills, ability to create data sets, and design and evaluate data models.

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a field with a quantitative focus or a technical discipline; advanced degree preferred or equivalent hands-on experience.

  • 10+ years of experience leading marketing analytics or marketing operations functions; must have enterprise SaaS experience.

  • 3+ years leading and mentoring high-performing analytics or marketing operations teams.

  • Ability to concept, test, and iterate on attribution and forecasting models tied to marketing and sales performance.

  • Deep knowledge of data collection systems and technology: marketing automation tools (Marketo), CRM (Salesforce), attribution (Bizible), Adobe Analytics, etc.

  • Hands-on experience working with data warehouses or data lakes.

  • Good understanding of enterprise marketing functions including but not limited to demand generation, digital marketing, events, and field marketing.

  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed organization and build rapport with marketing partners across all disciplines. Experience partnering closely with BDR/SDR and field sales organizations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • International marketing experience (APCJ, EMEA) nice to have.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $173,712.00 - $260,568.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
