The Analytics Team is responsible for building and maintaining analytics tools and workflows to support the PrizePicks business across all departments — at the core of these operations is data. As the director of marketing business intelligence, you are responsible for setting the strategic vision for the marketing analytics function, building a team of analysts to realize business value from our data, and laying the foundation of tooling and metrics for the growth and retention marketing functions of the business.

What you’ll do:

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and refine the overall analytics strategy, benchmarks, goals and methods for growth and retention marketing efforts.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to align analytics efforts with overall company and marketing goals and identify opportunities for growth
  • Data Management & Analysis
    • Oversee the collection, processing, and maintenance of relevant data sets.
    • Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics models to derive insights from data.
    • Ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy in all reports and analyses.
  • Reporting & Insights
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to marketing teams based on data analysis.
    • Develop regular and ad-hoc reports showcasing performance metrics, trends, and projections.
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for growth and retention efforts.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Work closely with growth and retention marketing teams to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives.
    • Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure seamless data collection and integration.
    • Present analytical findings to executive leadership and other stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding through compelling data storytelling
  • Tool & Technology Management
    • Oversee the selection, implementation, and utilization of analytics and marketing intelligence tools and 3rd party datasets
  • Campaign Optimization
    • Analyze marketing campaigns to determine effectiveness, ROI, and areas for improvement.
    • Oversee A/B testing and multivariate testing efforts to refine marketing strategies.
    • Develop, refine, and oversee the implementation of growth marketing attribution models, ensuring accurate tracking of multi-channel campaigns
  • Consumer Insights & Behavior Analysis
    • Deep dive into customer behavior, segmenting audiences to understand preferences and
      behaviors.
    • Identify opportunities to improve customer retention and reduce churn.
    • Lead market research efforts to better understand brand awareness, consumer needs, preferences, and trends.
  • Budget Management
    • Oversee the budget for the marketing intelligence department, ensuring effective resource
      allocation.
    • Collaborate with finance teams to track expenditures and ensure ROI on analytics investments

What you have:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a leadership role, managing and growing a team of data analysts, business
    intelligence analysts and data scientists in a marketing analytics function.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree
    preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of business intelligence tools and platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Proficiency with data warehousing solutions and understanding of data integration techniques.
  • Strong skills in SQL and experience with other analytics tools/languages (e.g., R, Python).
  • Familiarity with marketing platforms and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems).
  • Understanding of digital marketing channels, customer journey mapping, and the broader digital landscape.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all
    levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale marketing analytics projects on time and within
    budget.

Where you’ll live:

  • Anywhere in the US is fine but Atlanta would be preferred.
