The Optimization team collaborates closely with business, product, engineering, and data science leaders to continuously elevate user experience and margin. They shape products across the organization - identifying, testing and implementing new levers which immediately impact the bottom line and allow the business to further scale. They champion and drive the evolution of experimentation and automation solutions in the RAMP platform. 

We are adding an Experimentation Analyst to serve as an expert in experiment execution. They will act as an engineering and analytics resource on the team to facilitate the launch of experiments and winning concepts. There is a path defined for how the role will evolve into also working closely with large data sets to cultivate and present insight and stories from data, and helping to directly impact how we scale our technology platform.

Where We Are
System1 is based in Los Angeles, where our Optimization Team sits at our Marina del Rey headquarters. We also have offices in Seattle, and our Canadian headquarters in Guelph, Ontario.

This role has the ability to work remotely in Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Ontario and British Columbia.

What You Can Expect on the Team:

    • Launch experiments and implement winning concepts
    • Work with large data sets to cultivate and present insight and stories from data
    • Collaborate regularly with technical and non-technical teams to prioritize experiments representing lift and scalability projections
    • Partner with BI and data engineering teams to deliver reporting that surfaces meaningful performance information in a clear and actionable format
    • Document everything - we learn from both success and failure, and this helps our team grow holistically
    • Help to drive the evolution of platform to support experimentation, optimization, and ultimately personalized experiences

What You Will Bring:

    • Previous experience in an analytical role such as performance marketing, marketing data analytics, or conversion rate optimization
    • Strong SQL skills - writing queries and self-serving data for projects, working with large data sets
    • Proficiency with Python for scripting and analysis
    • Familiarity with testing methodologies like A/B, MVT, etc., launching experiments, and delivering results
    • Experience visualizing data with industry tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Excel
    • Familiarity with industry tools like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
    • High attention to detail, curiosity, and drive to push things forward
    • Bachelors degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, math, computer science, etc.
