The Optimization team collaborates closely with business, product, engineering, and data science leaders to continuously elevate user experience and margin. They shape products across the organization - identifying, testing and implementing new levers which immediately impact the bottom line and allow the business to further scale. They champion and drive the evolution of experimentation and automation solutions in the RAMP platform.
We are adding a Senior Experimentation Analyst to lead analysis on large data sets to cultivate and present insight and stories from data, and to lead collaboration with product, business and engineering teams to identify and execute on optimization opportunities. They will lead the experimentation process, and will also help drive the evolution of the RAMP platform to support experimentation and optimization.
Where We Are
System1 is based in Los Angeles, where our Optimization Team sits at our Marina del Rey headquarters. We also have offices in Seattle, and our Canadian headquarters in Guelph, Ontario.
This role has the ability to work remotely in Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Ontario and British Columbia.
What You Can Expect on the Team
- Directly impact how we scale our technology platform
- Lead analysis on large data sets to cultivate and present insight and stories from data
- Lead collaboration with technical and non-technical teams to prioritize experiments and optimization opportunities
- Lead partnership with BI and data engineering teams to deliver reporting that surfaces meaningful performance information in a clear and actionable format
- Oversee experiment launches, and implementation of winning concepts
- Own the experiment design process - defining objectives, traffic segments, scale, and success criteria
- Document everything - we learn from both success and failure, and this helps our team grow holistically
What You Will Bring
- Progressive experience in a conversion based analytical role such as performance marketing, marketing data analytics, or conversion rate optimization
- Advanced understanding of SQL and data technologies - writing complex queries and self-serving data for projects, working with large data sets, cleaning and preparing data for analysis
- Experience using various testing and experimentation methodologies according to their application (A/B, MVT, etc.)
- Understanding of front end & UI architecture, and how to collaborate with technical teams to launch experiments and implement winning concepts
- Experience leading projects through all phases - from experimental design through results analysis and implementation
- Familiarity with industry tools like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, as well as BI tooling and reporting infrastructure
- Passion for sharing knowledge within and outside the team, developing and encouraging best practices, and increasing process efficiencies
- Attention to detail, curiosity, and desire to continue learning and pushing things forward
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, math, computer science, etc.
