·       Job Description Summary

The Finance Data Reporting Analyst Sr is a data specialist that gathers and analyzes data, prepares reports, and introduces process improvements throughout the reporting process.  Individuals in this role have excellent analytical and technical skills, in addition to a keen ability to determine specifications and standards for business reporting and maintaining data integrity.  Analysts gather and maintain a wide array of data-related business processes and use a variety of reporting tools including business intelligence software.  They also work with data structures and metadata to ensure consistency, security, and accessibility.

·       Job Description

·       Work with various data platforms (OFSAA, Essbase, Snowflake) to extract data and create reporting via Tableau Creator (primary) and other reporting tools.

·       Collaborate with other Finance teams to transform existing reporting into dynamic user-friendly Tableau dashboards – adding efficiency and increasing the accessibility to data.

·       Maintain and create automated refresh/update routines for published dashboards.

·       Complete all tasks and Tableau builds within pre-determined time frames – ensuring to meet all benchmarks and deliverables.

·       Analyze and interpret data to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness.

·       Present ideas and completed work to varying levels of management up to and including the executive level.

·       Required Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Technical, or Finance discipline required,

·       5+ years experience in Finance and financial data/reporting

·       Preferred Qualifications:

·       Extensive experience with BI tools (ex. Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy) preferred.

·       Strong technical skillset and knowledge in at least one major relational database platform  (SAS, MS SQL, Oracle Essbase, or IBM db2)

·       Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment including adapting to changing priorities.

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.

·       Solid foundational understanding of major financial concepts including balance sheet, ledger, revenue, and expenses.

·       Ability to proactively manage projects and assignments and move work forward with limited direction.
