We are looking for a seasoned data leader to help us better understand the complex community, user behaviors, and monetization opportunities for Blind. This role will ensure that the exec, product, marketing, and sales teams have the data and insights necessary to navigate critical decisions. In parallel, we need to continue investing in our data architecture, A/B testing capabilities, and advancing our reporting and self-service tools. This position reports directly to the Chief Product Officer.

Responsibilities

    • Be a part of the leadership team and be a part of strategic planning & decision-making
    • Hold a “big picture” view of the consumer and B2B products and customers. 
    • Size opportunities to ensure product teams are working on the most impactful projects.
    • Set the vision, roadmap, and priorities for product analytics and data science
    • Establish best practices for machine learning methods, data engineering, tooling, and self-service analytics tools such as Tableau or Mixpanel
    • Maintain a high bar in terms of product thinking and analytical depth for your team through selective hiring and mentorship.

Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience with large scale consumer products with millions of users
    • 3+ years of experience building, managing and growing an analytics team 
    • Expert-level skills in querying or scripting tools, statistical methods, big data technologies, and applied experience with machine learning on large datasets
    • Deep understanding of B2C and B2B data strategies, analytics, and insights
    • Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple way and influence all audiences.
    • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, innovative organization
