We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to help us build new data-driven products and better understand user behavior. As a founding member of the ML team, you will be responsible for setting the direction and standards for any new ML-powered features at Blind. We have a large community of users with different backgrounds, experiences, and preferences. How do we architect a product that meets the needs of users and feels personalized? There is a treasure trove of data to structure, process, and utilize -- so we are looking for people who are excited to take on this challenge. This role will be product focused and will use the latest technologies to develop tools for topic classification, sentiment analysis, and other actionable insights. 

Responsibilities

    • Be a founding member of ML team to provide guidance to senior leaders and dictate the future of the ML team at Blind
    • Build efficient and innovative NLP/ML solutions that will impact millions of users
    • Work with engineering to structure and productionalize NLP/ML solutions
    • Apply a breadth of tools, data sources, and analytical techniques to drive answers

Qualifications

    • 5+ years of work experience as a Machine Learning Engineer; or a combination of experience and education within Machine Learning, Data Science or Statistics
    • Solid theoretical knowledge of Machine Learning and Statistical concepts, including Deep Learning, common Neural Network architectures as well as performance tradeoffs
    • Experience with Natural Language Processing framework with focus on developing LDA, STM or other topic modeling

Preferred qualifications

    • Experience working with highly private, anonymous data sets
    • Experience with sensitive HR-related issues or employee feedback datasets is a plus
