How you’ll make an impact

You will help our product teams make informed, data based decisions on developing Hubdoc software. Additionally, you’ll support in making Hubdoc data available within the broader Xero data vault, making it easier to use the data sources together. Lastly, you’ll help scale the Hubdoc data platform to prepare for a closer integration with Xero’s maturing data infrastructure.

What you'll do

Contribute to Hubdoc’s existing data platform including Airflow, Redshift and Postgres
Working with the team, design and implement features driving towards a robust & clean data model and a more scalable and resilient infrastructure
Tighten our integration with the broader Xero data system
Support our finance and product teams’ decision making with critical reporting and metrics
Maintain and modernize our existing ETL jobs

What you'll bring with you

Critical competencies
Experience with data modeling best practices, ETL tooling and data engineering infrastructure
High customer empathy and customer focus
Effective communication and use of tools and team meetings
Helpful Experience
Experience in transforming a data platforms to leverage industry best practices, systems, and tooling
Some data analysis experience can be beneficial
Experience with agile methodologies
Experienced in taking direction from high level designs through to production ready software
